The delegations for both Ireland and Colombia have pulled out of the contest both due to heavy study workloads. Both countries have participated regularly in the contest and have brought some excellent entries to the contest.
Ireland has taken part in every single edition with some excellent success including a win as well as a runner-up;
SongFest 1 = 2nd
SongFest 2 = 9th
SongFest 3 = 1st
SongFest 4 = 14th
It is also no surprise that Ireland currently stands at the top of the overall leader-board for the Song Festival Contest.
Colombia has also be a regular participator, joining the contest in the second edition hosted in Iceland. It struggled to qualify for the finals all the way up until the latest edition (SongFest 4) where it gained 11th place in the final.
Both countries are now inactive and available for new participants to represent. The withdrawing delegations, I wish you luck on behalf of everyone at Song Festival for your studies and hope to see you return to the contest soon.
