Contest Rules

The song selected must have been released in the past 6 months and not before.
You can take part as any country, whether you have citizenship there or not.

No cover versions are allowed, nor are Eurovision entries, unless it is a specific special edition.
National Final Songs, however, are allowed.
You may not participate as more than one country.
Failure to vote will result in disqualification and a lifetime ban from the contest.

Heats

There are going to be places up for grabs for the grand final and there will be 3 heats. In all 3 heats 2 countries will be granted qualification leaving other spaces to be filled. Countries not granted qualification through Heats will get another chance in the Second Chance round. Who goes through in the heats are decided by the participant votes of 8, 10 and 12 points for their favourite 3 entries in each heat.

Second Chance

All countries left over from the heats round will take part in Second chance. 2 countries will be granted qualification by the votes of the finalists, who give 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 points to their favourite entries. Juries choose the other 2 qualifiers.

Final

There will be either 17 or 18 places in the final (depending on whether the host is a member of the big 5 or not). 5/6 places will be taken up by the big 5 and host, 6 places will be taken by heat qualifiers and the final 4 places will be taken up by the Second Chance Qualifiers. All participants vote using the 7-8 10 and 12 points system, whether they are taking part in the final or not. The other half of the points will come from the jury. Every juror will rank the the songs. Juries will be giving their points in shares of the total given by voters based on jury percentage. For example if we had 23 voters and the total was 276, the country that got 10% of the jury vote would get 28 points (27.6).

Big 5

Countries will gain points on the ranking board when they score inside the top 10 from each contest. The 5 countries with the most points will be the big 5 and will be granted automatic qualification for every contest in which they hold big 5 status. This encourages a wider competition and for people to keep taking part to increase their countries ranking on the scoreboard. It also encourages people high on the scoreboard to be consistent with their quality of entries.
