Some changes will be made to the second edition but nothing too drastic. In the heats round there will only be 3 heats, with 2 countries qualifying from each heat. The Second chance round will then take the 3rd and 4th places from each heat and the top 2 from that round will get places in the final as well. Making up the rest of the final will be the 'big 5'. These will be the countries with the top 5 ranks. The top 10 placings from each contest will determine how countries climb up and down the ranks and who will be the big 5.
If you've been counting along you will notice that the numbers add to 13 in the final. This will be the new number. It makes the contest more interesting and more competitive, which is exactly why the system I've set up is going.
If you haven't already, please make sure you email me the links to your entries for Song Contest 2. Also, please make sure you read the rules before submitting your entry as many people have repeatedly tried to enter songs outside the last sixth months or songs that don't match with the rules.
For those of you taking part in Song Contest 1, I wish you luck for the results which will be posted on Friday at the latest.
Personally, I hope it'll change if many people decide to enter... Because it'd be a super disaster then. But, it's your competition after all.
